Welcome to Sango, the first Cameroonian connection platform dedicated to bringing together all types of vehicle owners and service seekers in one simple, accessible app.

Sango (meaning “talk” or “discussion” in Lingala) was built to facilitate connections. We believe that finding the right vehicle for your needs—whether it’s a taxi for a quick trip, a truck to move your goods, or a tipper for your construction site—should be easy, fast, and direct.

Our Story

Sango was born from a simple observation in Cameroon: transportation needs are diverse, but finding the right vehicle owner is often difficult. If you needed a taxi, you stood on the road. If you needed a truck, you had to search for contacts or rely on word of mouth. If you needed a tractor, it was even harder.

We created Sango to solve this problem. We wanted to create a single digital marketplace—a “rendez-vous” point—where all vehicle owners, from bike riders to heavy machinery operators, could list their services, and where anyone looking for transport could easily find them. No intermediaries, no complicated booking systems. Just a simple connection.

Our Mission

Our mission is to empower local transportation entrepreneurs and simplify the lives of Cameroonians by providing a free and easy-to-use platform to connect supply and demand in the transport sector.

We aim to:

  • Increase visibility for small-scale vehicle owners and independent drivers.

  • Reduce the stress of finding specific vehicles for passengers and businesses.

  • Foster direct communication and agreement between users, keeping the power in their hands.

What Makes Sango Different?

  • Pure Connection Platform: We are not a taxi company. We don’t employ drivers or own vehicles. We simply provide the space for you to find each other and make your own arrangements. This keeps things simple and keeps costs down.

  • All Vehicles, One Place: From motorcycle taxis (“bendskins”) and city taxis to heavy-duty trucks, tippers for construction, and tractors for agriculture—if it has wheels, you can find it on Sango.

  • Cameroonian-Focused: We understand the local market. We know that trust is built through direct conversation. That’s why we facilitate direct contact via phone or WhatsApp, the way Cameroonians prefer to do business.

  • Completely Free (for now): We believe in supporting our community. Our platform is currently free for everyone to use, helping vehicle owners find more customers and helping customers find the services they need.
